Tue, Jun 23, 2009 -- Freshmen Adventure Learning Programme (C215, C218-C223) - July 4 (Saturday)

What is it?
-The Adventure Learning Program (ALP) at TP’s Outdoor Adventure Learning Site is conducted at the freshmen year. This is a half-day activity organized by the IT school to bond students across diploma and classes. Each class will be led by an ELF facilitator. Games will be played to bond students together, such as “Spider Web” game, “Simon Says” game. This will help to build confidence, class spirit as well as physical coordination among the students!

When / Where?
Date: July 4 2009 (SATURDAY)
Meeting Time: 8.30 am
Meeting Venue: In School, Exact Location to be confirmed. Attire: Sports Wear (T-Shirt), Running Shoes

Please drink enough water the night before.

Also, check with your CP later for other additional details. ALP is Compulsory Those medically unfit will still be expected to be there to observe their class going thru’ the ALP.

If students fail to turn up, they have to write a one page A4 size single spacing letter of explanation and a two page A4 size single spacing report on the activities that were conducted and the learning points that they’ve missed.

Those on MC will still be required to submit their MC and the two page report. (All reports are to be submitted to your Care Person, who will submit to the Course Manager.)

1.Due to positive students’ feedback on the IIT SBC’s enrichment talks programme conducted last year, SBC will be conducting the Stress Management enrichment talks for IIT freshmen this semester.

For Dip IT, Mr. Paul Phua (School Counsellor) will be conducting the talk on:

The timeslot chosen was the regular APEL timeslot. However, this will not affect your APEL as based on the teaching plan, there are no APEL for Week 10 (22-26 June). Student Attendance is compulsory. SEAL points will be awarded for students who attend the talk.

just having some random thoughts. Have you guys ever ask yourself this -->What is your goal in life? What do you want to become 10 years down the road or rather after your tertiary stues?

Every person have to come to an awareness that they need to know what they want to achieve in life. This is because man without vision will just wonder around aimlessly in life.Finding life like a cycle of educations,career,marriage that we need to go through before our death bed.BUT life is not just like this,there are far more things for us to do than just follwing the cycle. We can make a difference in our life by living to our highest ability and share the love,joy and knowing what you want to see when the time concludes. At the end of the day,what do you want to be remembered as? someone who live life aimlessly or someone who had a dream and fulfilled it?

Our term test is officially over! I believe you guys tried your best and give your greatest shot, so enjoy yourselves during the break. On the same note, please remember the following:

Hi precious C222,

We will be meeting Mr Goh our Cmaths1 tutor this Friday,5pm @IT1-5-68 to clear all our doubts about topic1 before the arrival of our term test which is on Monday.So those of you who need help,do come and please come prepared with the questions that you want to ask.

With that,all the best for your term test and press on! Because your efforts like staying out late to study etc will all be paid out when you see the flying colors on your test papers.On the same note,please look after your own health and have sufficient rest.
